4 years ago I was give a 'Pentax p30' SLR from a family friend... it started a great love affair with old vintage cameras. I adored the way they overexposed the picture and added a green technicolour to the shots.
That fairytale ended when I had to pay for the copious amounts of film to be developed!
but...
I started to realise that I had been missing out on a key part of photography... not the taking but the tactile feel of a real (albeit crappy) photograph in my hand. Since then I have come across them randomly in a drawer or folder, sitting there, waiting for me to glance. And when they do catch my eye Im instantly transported back to that special place.
I now do use a DSLR and am a keen novice in Photoshop, this amazing technology has given me the tools to make my ideas a reality. However... I always urge my clients to print print PRINT!
